In your opinion, what is the best movie ever? Explain. If you don't have a favorite of all-time, but only a favorite for each genre, please state and explain.

My personal favorite is "The Shawshank Redemption."

I know this goes without saying, but feel free to bash each other's favorites.

"I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal at Disney."

I've never seen it, But it's the best title of all time.

I have many favorite movies, depending on what mood I'm in. The movie(s) that I tend to favor most of the time is the "Star Wars" trilogy. I'm talking about the original trilogy. Those prequal aren't worthy of the title os "Star Wars."

Maybe Episode III if you ignore all the talky parts and the parts with Hayden Christiansen, who is by the way, planning on quitting Hollywood to become an architect.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man. Without question.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man is the pinacle of mankind's achivements. 10,000 years of civilization were fufilled with its making. Tetsuo: The Iron Man is proof that there is a God, because nothing that awesome could possibly exist without the direct intervention of an omnipotent, omniscient, and benevolent deity.

On a scale of 4 stars, Tetsuo: The Iron Man doesn't rate stars. It goes beyond stars. It goes beyond the Big Bang. It rates the primal abyss from which the Big Bang sprung.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man is the story of a man who turns into a walking pile of junk, and the insane man who cuts his legs open to insert steel pipes who tries to kill him by clenching his fist a lot and screaming.

The Original Matrix : Great storyline, incredible CGI, Fight scenes worthy of Bruce and Chuck, and to top it all off 3 of the Greatest Monolouges of all time (barring of course the ..Cats and Dogs living together...Mass hysteria) Hugo Weaving makes the movie Smith is the anti-hero's hero.

And as a close second............................

Ghostbusters - 600 one-liners strung together..... if you can't laugh during the movie please see a medical proffesional and have the stick removed from your @$$
