I'm quite unhappy

I entered a hurricane-naming contest. In the end my Chinese nomination got selected, but because I missed two alphabets in the English name I didn't win. I'm just disappointed, and posting here would make me even sadder. I haven't slept all night and it's not even 6a.m. yet. I didn't know the contest was so important. It shouldn't be, but it is. :(

There are several effective things you can do when there are disappointments like this in your life:

* Find another challenge to undertake.

* Think about the relative unimportance of your disappointment in the general theme of things: "What will it mean 100 years from now if I didn't ...."

* Spend some time with good friends.

* Get out and do some strenuous exercise.

* Read a good book.

* Watch an exciting movie.

* If it's an option, spend about four hours making love! ( I highly recommend this one! ) :D

Thank you! *smooches*

I can't try the last option. Yet..... *snickers*

I know I'm not supposed to be disappointed. sigh...

Heh! It's not a matter of "shouldn't" or "ought not." Those are just ways of referring to what you have been taught are "no-nos." DECIDE to either cling to your disappointment or to do something else. The only one who can control your feelings is you; you own them, they're yours, no one else's. :)

I need to stop feeling disappointed, even if I should. I'm graduating in 3 days and I can't let a stupid contest ruin in! *raaaaoooor*

Teehee.
