Republican Political Correctness

Drunk commies reborn

While liberal PC is usually confined to accusations of racism or sexism, conservative PC often accuses dissenters of treason. Here's another example of conservative PC at work. A Republican congressman from the "special" state of Alabama has accused Bill Mahr of treason for saying that the military is running out of "Lynndie England" types to recruit. You may remember Lynndie England as the short guy with man-boobs who is pictured taking naked Iraqi men for a walk on a leash.

Yeah, and let's not forget all the cries of "militant atheist" anytime the extreme Christian right gets criticised, or when they castigate a cartoon for implied homosexuality.

He was (presumably) elected to be a representative of the Republican party.

Actually, he's elected to represent the people in his district. Party membership is optional. I'd consider him a cognizant representative of the party if he were to hold some sort of leadership position.

We can blame Democrats for the dumb things uttered by Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Howard Dean because they hold leadership positions in the party. I can't do that with the Rep from Alabamistan because the link requires registration.
