Before you make and Fix It Again Tony jokes let me point out that FIATS only breakdwon when you drive like a grandmother. They're Italian and meant to be driven to the extreme. Its a Fiat Dino, BTW. There is a FERRARI engine under the hood.

The FIAT breaks down far less often than my cousins Triumph Spitfire or my neighbours MGB. But far more often than my old Honda Prelude (which has never broken down) You still missed my point: If driven properly (ie:like an italian maniac) the FIAT is surprisingly resilient and reliable. It starts every time, which is more than I can say for any of the vintage cars owned by my my firends and family. The engine was production line, yes. The coachwork wasn't. Its got style, if nothing else.

With that said, I am a bit of a glutton for punishment, or else I wouldn't own a vintage sports car (of any make)
