What would your last meal be?

If you had to pack up and move to a country that had no local food that you are used to (no burger chains, not even a grocery store with ingredients you are familiar with), what would be the last meal you'd eat before you move?

The dinner of the three emperors with vegemite and cheese on toast, a hungry jacks bacon delux value meal, and lots and lots of booze.

I live in Austin,TX which is a melting pot of many ethnicities, so "local" food means food from all over the world. *ahem*Chello Kabob with mast o khiar, gyros, cheese enchiladas with sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, topped by chili con carne, served with a 12 oz steak (well done, mind you), a caesar salad, sushi, won ton soup, and A&W Cream Soda. And if I can't finish it (while I am known for a big appetite and high metabolism..I'm not sure I could finish it ALL), I'd get a cooler.

I mean some place remote and isolated from the rest of the world. The population of the country wouldn't even know what the heck you just listed is.

If it was Indonesia, I'd ask them for a pleasant surprise, as long as it included no invertebrates or entrails. With their cusine ( a mix of Dutch, Portugese, Chinese, Inndian and Middle-Eastern) it would be guarenteed to be good. Any executioners with the forthought to ask what you want for a last meal take that kind of thing quite seriously and respectfully.

If it was Uzbekistan on the other hand, or some such godforsaken place, I'd ask for great big juicy steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Though they may have no experience with the specific preparation, they'd know what beef and potatoes are. They'd be able to make it with just a few instructions (they're foreigners, not idiots) and I'd have my comfort food on the eve of my execution. In Afghanistan I'd just ask for a pot of really strong Opium Tea with lots of sugar and some Hashish muffins. Then I wouldn't give a sh*t what they did.

I change my mind, I would have Castor oil. That way, when I die, someone has an awefully nice mess to clean up!

I don't know, but I think I would just be curious on what this other culture has to offer. I wouldn't have anything special to eat, I'd rather go there hungry

Very very long. About 2,541 courses, with the appropriate intervals between to recover.

Edit: Having now read the OP

It doesn't matter, I like trying new foods anyway.

Prime rib with gravy, mashed potatos, crab legs, and plenty of beer.

Either that or hamburgers made with ground meat made from the judge's family.

Buddha Jumps Over the Wall Soup. For £108, it must be quite nice. For my main course I would have salmon because i really really like it. Desert would come in the form of a set of belgian chocolate truffles with baileys flavoured ice cream
