It's not his suit, he's from another planet.

My guess is that he is a hydrogen based lifeform, a sort of matrix. The hydrogen from the yellow sun collects in him, making him impenatrable, able to concentrate heat out of his eyes, and fly. And the other stuff. Maybe.

I don't know that Spiderman has the chops to really take on Superman, but thats largely because Superman is kinda godmodded after years and years of writers adding abilities...I dig Spidey way more.

Spiderman would easily be killed by Supes.

Supes will then die from the lack of readers. I honestly think Batman is the only comic book series carrying that oaf. He suffers from dbz syndrome. Being to damned powerful to be realisticly entertaining after a large amount of time and lack of quality villains.

You might say that Spiderman is smart enough to use kryptonite against Superman, but think about it, for over fifty years no one has been able to kill Superman with kryptonite, despite it popping up in at least every second story. Why haven't they been able to kill him with it after hundreds, indeed, thousands of attempts? I think Superman is faking it. Kryptonite doesn't affect him at all! Why go through all the trouble? Two reasons. One, he can turn evil and boff Louis Lane's sister and blame it on kryptonite. And two, he is covering up his real weakness which is probably something really obvious no one has thought of trying because they've spent all their time trying to get their hands on kryptonite. Is Spiderman smart enough to discover Superman's real weakness? Who cares?

I've hated both superman and spiderman ever since the guitarist in my band suddenly informed me that he had recently had a dream in which he was a cross between both superman and spiderman and kidnapped a girl from a cafe, carried up onto the rooftops, and then pooped on her.

Now he likes to suddenly yell "DUDE!! SUPERSPIDERMAN!!" And then giggle insanely.

Then Superman's actually a nasty evil bastard that only pretends to do good. Whenever he's bored and wanting to get his rocks off, he just pretends to be weak and useless from the kryptonite and sits back enjoying watching Lex destroy a few thousand people. Or if he's feeling a bit more energetic 'becomes' evil and does it himself.
You know, I'd have a lot more respect for the man if this was true.

Superman can't kill a fellow hero, and neither could Spidey for that matter.

superman may be the man of steel but spiderman is quite strong, and he can sense things before they happen. so i think all of you underestimate spidey

Also Spiderman could carry a mirror. WHAT NOW LASER EYES!

Superman is super fast, super strong, and near invulnerable (can survive a nuclear explosion, I've read). Spiderman shoots webs out of his hands.
