Now before I begin, let me first say that I really love Buddy Holly's music. I grew up listening to it (him and Johnny Cash, Simon & Garfunkel, Beethoven, Bily Holliday, The Clash, Sex Pistols and The Damned. This is probably why I'm a bit screwed up musically) and I've never grown bored of it.

Was life so different back then, that you could say such things in a song and not be thought of as gay? It's quite incredible just how much society has changed in so little time.

I can remember a time when being "gay" just meant that you were happy. :)

There are lots of songs and phrases and even jokes like that. Because English is a vibrant and ever-changing language, this is inevitable.

It's good though, and I never noticed that. Thanks for soiling that for me. :p
