Lets discuss baseball here.
My team, DA SOX! are 31-12 (19 games above .500 and 6 up over the Twinkies.) We just beat the Flubs in the first 2 games of the Red Line Series. Things are looking great as the rotation is strong 1-5. Buehrle, Garcia, Contreras, el Duque, and even Jon Garland, who is an amazing 8-0 have all been strong. Hernandez went on the DL, but Brandon McCarthy is ready to take his place. BMac was amazing in ST this season and has been compared to Cy Young winner Jack "blackjacK" McDowell by manager Ozzie Guillen
Let's discuss all going on in baseball.
Vlad Guerrero is now on the DL after a horrible head first slide OUCH! I like Vlad, but I guess I'm glad he isn't going to be going against the Sox. I want him to get well as soon as possible, so long as it is after June 1st.
I am a big fan of baseball. Unfortunately my team is sucking hind tit this season :headbang:

This is the season for the Detroit Tigers to prove that they're good. :p
But then again...everyone's been saying that for the past 5 years, and they've flopped everytime.

Are the RedSox even on this poll? I'm a sox fan and see no reason why they can't win it again. They have been banged up early on but are still 8 games above 500. They couldn't handle the Braves today though.

The Cards got it this year. Hopefully they're pissed enough about last year to bring it home this time.
Anaheim's starting rotation is better than advertised, their bullpen is still dominant, and their defense is solid. And there is no way they can continue to hit this badly. It must be psychological, and therefore easily correctable, because the team continues to hit well in the clutch.
That really sucks about Vlad, though. Him and Anderson are the only two reliable hitters this far. The outfield will be in good shape, though, with Figgins and Juan Rivera available, and the team will be in playoff position when Vlad gets healthy, be it in 3 weeks or 3 months.

I have a vague memory of being about 8 years old watching some sort of baseball roundup in which the royals were featured. Someone hit an infield pop-up, really high, and a WHOLE LOT of players go to it. Most of the infield, I'd say. They all missed the catch. Still, good of you to stick with a team in their bad times.
I've actually been a Cardinals fan since I lived near St. Louis when I was around 9. This is a good time to be a Cards fan. I am hoping we've got another Series in us. It's our last season in the old Busch Stadium, and I want us to win one more for it. I won't get to go to any of the games in the old one though. I am hoping to go next year to see one in the new stadium. It looks like a nice facility, but I really will miss the old one. It's the best stadium ANYWHERE. Also the upper deck is a circle, making it perfect for the wave.
The Series last year was SUCH a bummer. I was hoping to win at least one game, but the night of Game 4 I walked outside during the game and the moon was blood red (there was an eclipse that night.) I knew the Curse was broken. That day I had worn my Cards jersey over a black shirt with a picture of Babe Ruth taped to it. It didn't work.
The jersey is supposed to be lucky. I wear it every time I watch a Cards game on TV. However, starting with Game 1 of the World Series, it went on a 6-game losing streak. I thought it was cursed.
Then, one fateful night a few weeks ago, I was watching the Cardinals play the Reds in Cncinnatti (lol did anyone else see the cincinnatti pitcher with the typo on his jersey?) Anyways so we go down like 6 runs, including one off a Ken Griffey Jr. "homer" that hit the yellow on top of the fence and was originally ruled a hit by the 2nd base ump... until the other umps who were further away from the scene came over and decided that it was actually a homer. So I was pissed. But in the 9th inning we got like 6 or 7 runs and won 10-9. It was beautiful. Now the jersey is fine.
