My appologies to any South Koreans here.

My apologies to those who were condemned by our idiot in the whitehouse for furthering research to cure diseases.

Bush is a moron.
Why apologise for the words of an inept religious wanker, when you have done no wrong?

Being from neither nation, I might as well congratulate the South Koreans on their progress. I'm personally sceptical to human cloning, but I see nothing wrong with cloning on embryo-level.
True, Bush said his opinion/governments opinion...not the opinion of all US citizens...nothing to apologize for.
Aplauds from me for the south-koreans for what they managed to do.

True. But he has a lot more say than most of us want him to have because he is the President now.

I second the apology. Remember, 49% didn't vote for him. But an apology is warrented for him even daring to bitch at you after all your hard work to further the knowledge of humanity and enrich the lives of people with horrible diseases. Bravo!
I'm still trying to figure out how that idiot got elected (not RE-elected since the first time around he was appointed by the Supreme Court).
So I apologise to South Korea for the Idiot-In-Chiefs words about Korea's bold step into the future of medical science.

Simple, the other guy was a idiot as well, just we didn't know what dirrection that idiot was going to go.
Bush is definitely an idiot. Why does he think he can say anything about another country's policy anyways? It's not bad enough he has to force his morals on his countrymen, but to force them on people of another country...

Didn't Britain already clone an Embryo as well, recently... or was that on the tail of the SK scientiests? Either way... it's a great step... especially if this is what I think it is (cheap (free in countries with an NHS) stem-cells for everyone who needs them?) I hope so. I don't understand how that can be criticised....

I'm glad to see that the majority of South Koreans see stem cell research as a positive thing. Props to SK! Don't let Bush pressure you! He'll be out in a few more years!

Ha i can see it now. A future of the next generation in a planet near you. Earth Wars: Clone Wars.
Let the Americans restrict their own research. That abolishes competition for the rest of the world, who will do it anyway and reap the benefits.

Other governments see the promise of stem cell research and are poised to take advantage of it, said Dr. Janet Rowley of the University of Chicago, a member of the President's Council on Bioethics and co-author of recent national ethics guidelines for stem-cell research.
"We in the United States, again because of ideology, are sitting back and watching,"
That just about sums it all up. Ideology over practicallity.
