Meh, get a hold of yourself. That's what I did when I was home alone for the first time. I learned to enjoy it... You should make the most of your new-found free time.

I live in the most lightning prone area of the world, but only for half the year.
Power goes out a fair bit during storms. Fearsome power of nature!

You'll be fine. :fluffle:

Don't tell strangers that you're home alone. We might be thieves or child molesters or some combination of the two.

my house isn't shaking, if someone started making noises like thunder during sex I doubt it would turn me on (I'd probably burst out laughing actually) and my body isn't vibrating either

Heh. Yeah, walking in the rain sucks. I've only ever been caught in the rain when I haven't had my umbrella. It's annoying, and it always pours when that happens.

We get a freak hailstorm every few years... Good heavens they're shocking. So much comes down it looks like snow. Keep in mind that the coldest it ever gets anywhere in the Sydney Metro area is -1 or 2 Celsius.

Hey, don't let thunder bother you. If lightning starts think of it like this:
"Lightning fixes nitrogen in the air to a form that can be absorbed by plants. This gives the plants essential nutrients. Therefore after every storm there will be an abundance of lilies, roses or any flower you like."

Think of storms in terms of flowers!

N.B I've hugged the modem. Try to see if you can get my hug via the Internet. :fluffle:

Walking in the rain is awesome when you have a member of the opposite sex with you, yes.

Above, I was talking about an absolute downpour. Which is no fun when you've got a runny nose and haven't had much sleep, which is the norm for me.

I was visiting Sydney (from Adelaide) around the time that one of those storms hit (I'm thinking mid-January '05), you probably can't remember it, but I do, cos in Adelaide, even the weather's boring... (I hope that you live in Sydney else I'll look like a total fool)
