Jar Jar Binks:
Only shows up in I think 2 scenes and doesn't have any speaking parts. No he doesn't.

I know just how you feel. There is no way to kill Jar-jar that is sufficiently degrading for the damage he has done to my soul. Except giving him to a very lonely wookie. (which I cannot take credit for, unfortunately.)

You people are heartless, I find Jar Jar very funny.

I hope this was a joke...

Jar Jar dying in RoTS would be stupider than Jar Jar was in TPM.

I ask you this... Why?

I actually like Jar Jar, good sir. Unfortunately I am now a target of the Empire of People Who Like Star Wars So Much That They Know The Genetic Code of Luke Skywalker. Or the EoPWLSWSMTTKTGCoLS.
Anywho..............................................................

Everyone who bitches and whines about Jar Jar Binks and how he should die don't understand why he was put into the new trilogy and why he actually is kind of important in the grand scheme of things.
Like most people who complain about Star Wars, most haven't actually appreciated the series at all and will continue to whine about Jar Jar without actually paying any attention to his importance.

I agree with you Tuesday!
BTW: I wouldn't want to live in Lancaster. It literally stinks! :D :p

He could've been just as important without being a third-rate character.

Yeah, I know. It does stink. Literally, it's just past manure season.

See, you're missing the point... as do most people... Jar Jar Binks was the way he was to appeal to children and the younger generation of Star Wars fans equivalent to the age of most of the old trilogy fans when they first saw the movie and the way they reacted to the Ewoks and Wookies. Both of which are kinda "third-rate" if you think about it, but look at how popular they are now!
The entire race of Gungans, of which Jar Jar comes from, are also third-rate, but look at what they did against the droids!

At least Chewbacca was actually good. And the Ewoks? Meh, but they were still leagues better than Jar Jar.
Why George does this to "appeal to younger viewers" is beyond me. I liked the first two Star Wars movies when I first saw them (I was four, almost five), and they didn't have any crap like Jar Jar.

It doesn't help your case that I hate all gungans and all ewoks for being so improbable in their success, heh. The Ewoks were the ultimate cop-out.
And the droids won that battle, remember? It was sheer luck that anakin managed to fry the droid control ship, or the gungans would've been relocated to whatever camps the trade feds decided to send them to. But that's irrelevant anyway as their sole purpose was as a surprise attack. Which says the best thing you can say about the gungans. Not even robots can resist using them as target practice.
I do think that Lucas could have at least made jar-jar not intensely annoying, even if he was deliberately patronising and unlikeable.

Oh, I agree, as far as characters go, Chewie is awesome. Ewoks always reminded me of something out of Willow, but nonetheless, I think what Jar Jar has going against him is that

Well, that's one part marketing and two parts bringing an old classic back to the forefront of pop culture phenomenom. Starting Anakin off as a child, too, also appealed to children. They could've easily done a new trilogy without going that far back.

Worst time of the year to be in Lancaster.

Agreed. Not to mention he was probably thrown in for the girls too.
