I'm a big Floyd fan. My favourite albums being The Wall, Animals, and Dark Side of the Moon. Basically their middle-period, the 70s. Their early stuff, 50s and 60s, as well as their later stuff, 80s, is also appreciated by me, just not as much.

No, not personally. They're just full of themselves. Of course, that bio I read could've had a certain amount of spin added to it (like the one I read about MC5). I'll do some extra reading about them and come to a final conclusion.

Personally, I love Floyd. Great band, great music, great experiance. And even if someone does not particularly like Floyd, at least show some respect to one of the most influential bands of all time. Opinions are great, but not un-based attacks.

DSOTM is good, but similar to Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2, it's incredibly over-rated, not to mention the only thing by the Floyd most people have ever heard of. Stupid people.
Their best albums, are Animals, Meddle and Obscured By Clouds. Fantastic albums.
Obviously DSOTM and afterwards, Waters discovered himself as a lyricist and kicked ass with songs, with Gilmour's kickass guitar work just complimenting it all further.
Gilmour is a god. 'Nuff said :p
Meh, Pink Floyd are easily one of, if not the greatest band ever, no questions.

Well Ravea, maybe you did not read what I posted a bit earlier here, but regardless of if you LIKE Pink Floyd or not, you sure as hell cannot simply ATTACK the band as being bad. If you don't like the music, say so, instead of giving generalizations and completely incorrect statements that just make you sound opinionated and frankly, stupid.
Gibralter, I'll agree that it is over-rated, but not without reason. DSOTM and Wish You Were Here are my favorite albums, but you might be right about the others being actually better quality. I'll still argue though :p
