Why I hate living in Panama [rant]

The Lightning Star

Ahh yes, another glorious day in this third-world country we call Panama. I wake earlier than usual(5:00, and I usually wake up at 6:15), and are ready to start the day. I get dressed into my school uniform and for the next 2:30 hours till the bus comes I use the computer. I then hop on me bus and ride to school.

Of course, seeing how this is Panama, it has to be raining. Water, water, everywhere. When I arrive at school, instead of playing football like we should have we went inside and played kickball. Do you know how it is to play kickball with Panamanian kids? Answer=not fun. At all. At the end of the period, I realise "HOLY OMFG!(yes, I speak like that outside of the computer O_o)I forgot my binder!" All of my essential school supplies aren't there! Thankfully, I had computer class next, so I walked over to that class. "What could go wrong?" I wondered.

Well, alot did. First, we tried to set up a printer. Easy enough, we(myself and the other 7th grade student, Spencer) plug it in. We download and try to install the drivers, and wait. And wait. And wait. Finally, the installation said the printer wasn't connected. That got us mighty peeved, so we got our teacher Mrs. Neuman to try and help us. After a gillion years, it worked. Of course, the entire computer lab was made up of computers that were made up of parts hacked from other computers(typical Panamanian style), so we are constantly repairing them. Finally, we have to get new Ink. Easy enough. However, even though Mrs. Neuman sends us to one office, it turns out we had to go to the OTHER one. Of course, Mrs. N thinks we screwed up, so she sends us away.

From then(9:40) to 2:15, I have an un-eventful day mostly. However, at 2:15, a riot broke out down town. Over what? Social Security, of course. You see, Panama is a strange little country. Unlike other countries, where people will just whine and moan, make a small little demonstration, or sit there and do nothing, in Panama the University kids riot. Yep. They run down the streets, throw rocks, molotovs, etc. They jam up streetways, screw up the infrastructure of a city, damage property, the works. And it's usually over something really stupid.

Well, I have to leave school early(normally, that would be good, but I had a whole period where I could have been searching the web with the schools uberly fast 'net). Seeing how everyone left early, my bus was crammed with little kids. Screeching and whining. For 40 minutes.

I finally get home, and expect to enjoy myself a bit, which I do. However, the damnable rioters screwed up the transportation system, so when members of my family came/went, they took 20x longer.

So, I just decided to sit in my room and use computer, and that's how I got here now.

Man, I hate this country....
