Hmmm...Interesting...

I'm a tad new here, but...It seems to me that most people here are, unlike much of the internet, intelligent! May I say...thank you, NationStates!

Ahh, I love political debates, and have found at least 4 that interest me and actually hold my interest...in particular, the ones pertaining to same-sex marriage and the debate behind it.
Any thoughts on that?

People on NS have the power to surprise...

I think it was Cogitation that went into detail explaining klein (sp?) bottles and 4-dimensional supercubes... :p

Supercubes indeed! Kudos!

I love intelligence! Why is there not more of this in the world?

personally, the threads relating to transgendered people like myself hold my interest most, partly out of bias and obsession (I am definitely obsessive), and partly because I'm interested to see everyones views on it, even if they conflict with mine. I had a youth starved with debate.
But I try *sometimes* to be cogent. By the way, you can't escape from NS, so it's best that you like it. Makes your stay at least tolerable for you :D

Damn, nearly got it right.

But I fully agree, there are some really clever people on NS. Shame none of them ever look at the forums though...

Haha, "tolerable?"
More like enjoyable.

Transgender, heh? I've met few others, since I live in the lovely "Bible Belt" area of the US. But I, myself, am bisexual. Not that it's something special, unless you're here...where I get flipped off, regularly, by my neighbor. He loathes me.

It is nice to see a thread that isn't bitching about how boring NS is and how threads recycle.

Welcome to NS, and enjoy yourself.

I like you already. I don't have neighbours that do that for me yet, but then I don't dress yet either. And most of them *read: all of them* don't know yet. The looks I'll get. I'd personally advocate placards that told him bible scriptures that contravened his practise and see the result. That would amuse me immensely.

Haha, that would make my day...
Actually, just the other day, I was at a protest with the CLQA (Conway League of Queer Activists) and we had, get this...counter protestors! There were four of them! And they misquoted the 10 Commandments. Now, I, as an agnostic...knew their Bible...better than they.
It made me so happy to rub that in their faces.
Silly bigots, tsk tsk tsk.

Why thank you!
Recycle, reduce, reuse and all that jazz.
