Well, I saw the movie.

It was actaully very good. At some points, a bit overacting but other then that, its the star wars you always wanted. Its the anakin you probably wanted, but not so extreme. He became a murderer. The whole Killing The Children part wasnt expected...

anyway, since i said Possible Spoilers, come and spoil the movie like old milk!

I just read some things about waht people wrote and you know, this movie isnt about special effects. The first movie was about how they found anakin, how Sidous maniuplated the Trade Federation. The second was how he further manipulated them and started the Seps. THEN gvae himself more and more power as chancellor. It was also about Anakin being a troubled young man, meeting Padme and expercing the dark side. The third was about his complete fall, the Rise of the empire though Sidious's clever maniupulation and the beginning of the death of many Jedi.

It was dramatic, it was sad, it was funny and it was a nice ending to the beginning of a series.

It almost made the other prequels worthwhile. It was basically good, but a few things bothered me:

1) Why so much CGI? Part of the appeal of the original trilogy was that it was all made with ingenious set, costume design and camera tricks; very few "special effects" as we think of them today.

2) Too many cheap laughs (lol wookies. omfg yoda is fighting.) There was a lot of humor in the originals, and there were a few funny things in Episode: III, but too much reliance on cheap laughs.

3. Some of Lucas' dialogue is just awful. He's good at writing that Kung-Fu movie typed stuff during fights (cheesy and badass,) but he should never be allowed near a love scene ("I love you..." "No... I love YOU.") If moronic crap like that was all it took to get hitched to Natalie Portman... whew.

I have to say I really liked it, I really felt the turmoil in Anakin when he stopped Mace Windu from killing Palpatine. He was by far the coolest jedi ever, how could he die? and then there was the bilwiderment of the jedi as the clones turned on them it was almost too much to bear.... what a film

Well, saw the movie today. Strangely enough, with all of the special effects and fight scenes, one of the most noticeable things for me was the whole political situation in the movie. There were really strong parallels between the twisting of democracy in the film, and todays political situation.
Other than that, thought the movie was great, despite the wooden acting at some points.

Samuel L. Jackson signed on to do the prequels on the condition that he not "die like some sucker."

What a badass.
