Someone Canadian tell me, is that good?

My feeling is probably yes, although neither option sounds ideal to me, but I know next to nothing about this issue. :p

Wow.

I'm so ambivelent. I don't think there are any good options in Canadian government right now. I say we tear it down and start from scratch. Who's with me? *rushes off to start the revolution...slows down as she realises she's alone....mumbles to herself and goes to eat worms in the garden...*

Well, at least we didn't kill the country with another damned election.

Peter Millilken is my MP, and his parents live just down the street from me - I'm glad to see that name go down in history. Not that many people in my household voted for him...

First time the Speaker has broken a tie on a non-confidence vote.

Its good. That is until Adolph "Stephen" Harper finds another pointlesss reason to fuck up the government in hopes he will be elected Fearless Leader and Lord High Boombaclaat.

If Harper ever comes to power, I'm going to BURN my citizenship and move to Germany.

Now that's just partisan rubbish. Don't be so bloody inflammatory, even if Harper (who I personally am not terribly fond of) came to power the country wouldn't automatically go to hell in a handbasket. If they had a coalition government with the Bloc Quebecois, then maybe.

Basically, we will have election in 10 month instead of june... More time for liberal to make us forget the Gomery comission. Also, after the holliday (jan-feb) is normally a period where poeple are depress and dont bother about politic. So it should be easier for the Liberal to win with a majority.

I know, I'm just really pissed off at the ineffectiveness of our governement in general. My hatred is non-partisan. Personally, I think we climbed into the handbasket long ago. Which particular nutbar pushes the button to begin the descent into hell doesn't really matter. I have no faith in the government. Period.

Government in general or just our current one?

All I think we need is a return to the Red Tory days and then everything will work out. Along with crushing separatism, of course.

Government in Cananda in general. I think the best years were the FUNCTIONAL minority goverments we've had in the past. As I get older, I see the need for fiscal conservatism as the path of least harm...as long as corporate welfare isn't part of it. Seperatists and bible thumpers don't belong in politcs except as comic relief.
