Sorry for my ignorance, but Ive had a quick look through some of the NS sports events threads (soccer and the like) but cant figure out if there is some formal method of figuring out what the scores are going to be in the games.

Is it decided on by the teams playing?

Is it decided by the organising bodies?

Or is the some external way of working it out???

thanks

I know that the World Cup Soccer events used to involve a randomizing program written by one of the founders of the event that took into account 'rank', but still allowed for a statistical chance for either team.

The (former) Republic of Lunatic Goofballs competed in several of the early World Cups. (4 thru 6) At the time, that program was still undergoing constant tweaking for realism.

That was some time ago.

P.S. this is probably the wrong forum for this thread.

Does anyone know who did this program? OR even if they might be willing to share a copy of it?
(My programming skills leave a lot to be desired)
