I have this new sauce that I cook with sometimes. It's called; Pain 95%.

Here's the ingredients list:
Habanero Peppers, pineapple juice, water, tomato paste, lemon, lime, caribean jerk, and spices.

They also make a Pain 100% that doesn't bother with the juices and spices. :p

@LG: I take it you're the type of person who sips Tabasco sauce on its own?

Pain 100% would be Blair's 16 Million reserve. Pure capsaiasin (I can't spell it, but it is the chemical that makes spicy food spicy). 16 million parts water, 1 part Blair's 16 Million Reserve, is what it takes to dilute it. It's rare to go above a few thousand on that scale.

Here's a pretty good list:

http://www.chez-williams.com/Hot%20Sauce/hothome.htm

However, it is important to note that over 200,000 or so, flavor has no meaning. It's generally best for people to stick to flavored sauces or, like me, make your own. You want a kick with flavor, chew on a jabanero, but don't go much beyond that.

I love Jamaican jerk... on just about anything... The hotter the better!

(I learned the hard way on this one: Don't put habaneros in a stew. :headbang: )

I hear that Indian food is of a similar spice level. I don't think my tongue (or mouth as a whole) could take that punishment, but being me, I'd try it.

Well growing up eating my grandma's food, my tongue was steeled against the assault. But nothing Italian I ever had from my family could have truly prepared me for Allison's cooking.

And they cook a fucking ton for every occasion.

Yeesh. I hope it actually tastes good, along with being spicy.

Hmm. I'll have to try some... Sometime. The spiciest stuff I currently have access to is Mexican food :p.

@LG: I take it you're the type of person who sips Tabasco sauce on its own?

Can't speak for LG, but I've been know to do Tabasco or Habanero Tabasco shots (and yes, I do mean downing a proper full shot glass of it in one go).

YES! Tabasco shots! Only for the seriously drunk, others need not apply!

Indian food can be crazy spicy, but it can also be mild. I'd say the most consistently spicy food I've had is Brazilian. Almost no dishes aren't spicy. Almost all dishes are good. Excellent meals.
