Not raw, in any case. I tried that once. I wanted to grill it, but accidentally microwaved it instead, and then I was almost out of time on my lunch break, hungry, and I hate to waste, so I ate it anyway. Not something I'd like to do again. ;)

Is it me or do Bodger and Badger use SMASH as the amount of potato they go through would require alot of mashing and a very sore arm.

im not sure of the cross-cultural terminology but

baked

take a great big fat potato, pierce it with a fork a few times. toss it into a 450 degree oven for 45 minutes or so. DONT WRAP IT IN FOIL FOR GOD'S SAKE

take it out

eat it

I think it's strange how they only seem to have one guest at a time (who ALWAYS gets covered in mashed potato, by the way), but can still afford to buy said potatoes, as well as run a hotel. Not that I watch it too often...ahem.

Oh yes, the thread. I'd go with cheese too. Unless you're lactose intolerant - then it's not so good.

There's no shame in watching Bodger and Badger, it provides more entertainment than most programs on TV. When is it back on TV as I havn't seen it in ages?

I think that was the BBCs plan. Show it to those who are home at that time - toddlers, the unemployed and people throwing sickies.

Voted "other" because there are a number of ways I love potatos:

French fried: covered in Ketchup, or cheese, or dunked in McD's Vanilla shake.
Baked: slathered with real butter, cheese and sour cream
slice fried: with lemon salt.
Mashed with chicken gravy slathered over 'em.
Home fries with ketchup.
Hash browned with eggs and steak.
American Potato salad home made.
German Potato salad.

My secret recipe: a little butter in a stove, then you put plundered potato on the butter, when it's melted, then chive and Guryère cheese. When it's well roasted, you turn it one or two times, and a little salt if you like.

To plunder the potatoes, you boil them at half-medium fire, then a little butter, a few drops of milk, and salt.

It's so good... delicious.

I haven't put copyrights yet so take the recipe before I change my mind.

Mash the potatoes, carve a small crater into the heap, then put a little butter in the crater and cover it. Then you smother the whole thing with salt and repeat after the butter runs out.
