Thats probably not a good comparison because the pope is the pope of all people. Mind you i feel mexicans have a right to protest whatever the fuck they want so i guess its a good comparison after all.

I dont mind if they waste their time protesting, only if they expect results and turn it violent.
Mexico protests and complains when we move to tighten our borders while at the same time they tighten their southern borders and regularily deport Guatamalens, El Salvadorians and Costa Ricans who try to move up through Mexico to sneak into the US. I guess Mexico only wants its own people to be able to sneak into the US.
Personally, I like the idea of working holiday Visas to the US. They use them in many other nations and they work pretty well.

Not all people. Just the Catholics. Anyways, the President of Mexico, if I recall right, has been known to encourage his people to go north to get better jobs. That's pretty sad if the leader you elect is telling you that your country isn't good enough, and to go to another one.

We don't have an Italian Pope.... we have a German Pope.
In fact, the last Pope wasn't an Italian either, he was Polish....
Anyway - that's probably not the point. My question is. why shouldn't Mexicans protest? They were here first... the Mayans certainly predate the European settlers, the Spanish owned parts of this country before they were stolen from them... why SHOULDN'T they protest?

Oh, absolutely... however, I believe this protest is about those south of the border being physically blocked from entering.
Native Americans are already here... of course - they have been forced off of THEIR ancestral lands by the invading culture, too... so - maybe they should protest together.

Fair is fair. If the Mexicans want a truly open border, then we should encourage our violent criminals to flee to Mexico in order to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the lack of American law enforcement personell there.
