to put stream of consciousness in a movie, with the characters saying their thoughts outloud and making it look like normal dialogue? I just finished reading Faulkner and watching Texas Chainsaw Massacare when this crossed my mind.Don't ask about the movie...its a weird combination, I know.

It is, but you would have to do it in someway to let people know that those are the thoughts, not real dialogue. Or maybe you don't want to tell them.

Have you seen I Heart Huckabees?
Its possible.
They tried something like that in Eva, actually, with the whole weird vision things.

If you wanted to you could make it seem like dialogue, but that would confuse the hell out of the audience.

You mean like a soliloquy in a play, or like characters facing each other and having a nice, fake conversation and suddenly saying something mean about each other? The former has been pulled off many times and should be no problem. The latter I'm not so sure of.
I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Not it's actually impossible.
Manuel Puig is physically incapable of having written Kiss of the Spider Woman. :p
