Nothing wrong with being a geek. The ladies love it! I myself am a dual major in Math an Physics (minor in Computer Science) with a 12th level Elven Cleric/Mage; I can recite the entire first series of Babylon 5 in Klingon!
My hobbies include the Wheel of Time, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft and Comic Books.
I slept with this one girl once, in Canada, and I'm sure you don't know her.

LOL...what's sad is, I thought about saying how I can beat that. Then I got lazy.

Uh, well, uh, yeah, you might know her. Her name is Sandy. She lives in Ontario - or maybe Quebec.

Did I say Sandy? I meant Chandra. Anyway, she moved or something, so you don't know her.

Ontario or Quebec? So you mean you don't even remember the language she groaned with boredom in?

And you are now banned from Star Trek conventions. Keep it up. See what happens.

I've never been to a Star Trek convention anyway.

Nah, I don't think I'd deserve the title.

I mean, I don't like Star Trek, Star Wars, EQ, FFXI, GW (the new geek game), nor anything else especially associated with geeks.

Instead, I like weather, geology, astronomy, really any of the "earth sciences." Also, I watch The Weather Channel, The Science Channel, The Discovery Channel, I find Family Guy somewhat funny, I find Whose Line is it Anyway very funny, Final Fantasy 1 through 6, and 9 (no I don't like 8 and don't care much about 7. A heretic I am)... Dragon Warriors, Super Mario Bros, and of course Mario RPG.

So, if that makes me not a geek, I guess I'm not...

The temperature of a rectangular plate 0 < x < L, 0 < y < H, is determined by the heat equation in 2 dimensions
dU/dt = k*(d^2U/dx^2 + d^2U/dy^2)
The temperature is held constant at zero on all 4 edges. Given the initial temperature U(x, y, 0) = f(x, y), find U(x, y, t)

Who me? Sorry man, I just graduated High School, I don't yet know all about this subject.

I can somewhat translate, as I took first year calculus:

The "heat equation in two dimensions" is as follows:
The change in U with respect to t is k times the sum of the square of the change in U with respect to x and the square of the change in U with respect to y.

Of course, this may not be entirely accurate in the form that it is written here, but with my limited knowledge of calculus this is all I can derive (pun intended) out of it.

And, I can't do three dimensional mathematics yet.

I am the Geek Queen! How dare you try to dethrone me? Did you start a Star Trek/sci-fi appreciation club at your school? Have you built an Akira-class heavy cruiser out of popsicle sticks and tape? Have you drawn up plans to connect working nacelles to your car that can act as turn signals? Have you watched half a season of B5 in one evening? Or sixteen contiguous hours of ST: TOS? Lesse . . . I wrote a novel that involved quantum mechanics and fourth dimensional spacetime anomalies. And I haven't even taken math or science for the last two years.

Eh, by the way - I'm Canadian. TorontoTrek, July, here I come! I also know a Sandy. And a Chandra. And a great many other Canadians. There are over 31 million of us, you know. There's 600,000 in my city alone.

Thanks for your reply, Nimbus. The right hand side is k times the sum of second partial derivative with respect to x and the second partial y. It is confusing when typed as text.

I was hoping that His Nerdiness Jarlula would provide a solution, since he does major in math and physics. I fear that perhaps I insulted his intelligence by asking this; but if Jarlula is that good, he should be able to type up a solution in fairly short order. ;)

Does 34 straight hours of Farscape qualify me for any awards or anything?
