Net Connectivity problem
Since i started reinstaling programs and hooked up to the net tonight, i keep getting disconnected - I just repair my connection in the network connections folder to the modem and all is well. However, it keeps doing it. When i go to properties, i notice that the lease is only made for 15 minutes.. why is this? And is there a way I can stop it from doing that, or at least renewing the lease instead of disconnecting me?

Are you on a network with more than one computer? If so, the router may be having an IP conflict. It sometimes screws up, and assigns the same router to two different computers. To fix this, shut off all computers, disconnect the modem, then the router. Wait, reconnect the modem and router, then start up the comps. If that doesn't work, you can set it up so the comps share the internet. I've had the same problem, and that SHOULD fix it.

Router lease time to low? the hickup might be when your computer is waiting to grab that new lease it disconnects before reconnecting with the new lease
if you are on a router try seting up the lease time
I just switched modems, i had two of them. No, no router - just modem. Problem seems fixed though!
