Good LAN games

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some good LAN games for a network session with about 10 or so players.
We normally play Operation Flashpoint, but we're also looking at Raven's Shield, Joint Ops: Typhoon Rising, Silent Hunter III, UT 2004 and Hidden and Dangerous 2.
Can anyone recommend some games? We like games with an emphasis on cooperative/team play, rather than deathmatch type games, if possible. Primarily first person shooters, but also RPGs and RTS games will be considered.
I notice (sadly) that a lot of games these days are turning away from being "LAN friendly" and are being primarily designed to be played in "massive online" mode...
TIA

Warhammer 40K : Dawn of War.
It's an RTS, can be played over LAN or the net. Max. map size is 8 players. There's quite an extensive mod community for it as well. If you want to play any of the mods multiplayer, all clients will have to have the same mod.
The latest patch for it, 1.3, puts a mod-manager in the game menu.
Medal of Honor
Allied Assault, or one of it's expansions (Spearhead and Breakthrough). It's a great FPS. Most maps are relatively small so they should be ok for a 5v5. If you want all 10 of you on the same team, there is a mod somewhere to put 'bots' (AI controlled players) into the game.
Call of Duty
Another FPS. The maps may be a too large for 10 players. It's a good game and you should probably consider it.
Call Of Duty is a must
Rise of Nations is a game myself and my friends spend hours at LANs playing
Tron 2.0 is also good, different kind of shooter, discs than can be bent after firing them and you only have one.

Counterstrike, all the way.
Everyone knows it's Empires: Dawn of the Modern World.

For RTS I always pick AoK: The Conquerors, even though it only has 8 per game (you can have two games of 5...). The best LAN first-person shooter I know is CS, as has already been mentioned.

This one isn't first person shooter but it's great for groups. (The post above me may have meant this since it's only one letter off.) AoE: The Conquerors (Age of Empires for anyone not familiar) is a good multiplayer using civilizations. It's third person perspective as seen from the air. It's versatile regarding map size, type, resource amounts, tech trees, victory conditions, and much more.
Edit: Sorry I forgot you needed one for 10 people. This one maxes at 8 players. Like the other suggestion, though, you could have more than one game going at a time. If the 2 groups of 5 wanted more players, this game can add computer players with your choice of difficulty level.

AoK means "Age of Kings", which is the sequel to "Age of Empires". "The Conquerors" is an expansion to "Age of Kings", not "Age of Empires". That's why I wrote "AoK: The Conquerors".

True. I have all 3 so I sometimes forget that distinction.

If you're up for semi-old school, I'd advise Starcraft, my floormates and I busted that game out and it's still fresh and enjoyable. We played it for about two weeks, going from 7:00 pm to 2:30 am almost every weeknight. Weekends added even more time to the scale.
I'd also advise Warcraft III, and possibly the C&C Red alert series, also enjoyable.
