Thinking about growing my hair out

I've been kinda toying with the idea for awhile now, although every time I get a few inches of growth I usually get it cut back down to nothing. Normally I keep my head buzzed, but I'm feeling really lazy....I dunno.

Here's me as I sit right now, except I have more beard growth and my hair is just a pinch longer.

What do y'all think, particularly the ladies?

I have a feeling that bald guy with the goatee might become the new mullet, so get out while you can and grow your hair out.

I do the same thing as you. Keep the hair buzzed short and sport the goatee. I do it because my hair grows in a fro and it becomes a nuisance if it gets too long. If your hair grows straight, like normal people, then you definately should give longer hair a go. How long, exactly, are you thinking?

Go for ass-length, if your genes will allow it. You've got the right face for it.

I dunno, I had it down to my chin once and I actually liked it. Back when I had it long a few lady friends that I had said it was really nice, but every time I start to grow it out I end up getting rid of it.

Short to medium length hair (no more than three inches long) and keep a well maintained goatee or none at all IMHO.

I should probably get another pic up, one that's in better lighting. All the ones I have are either too dark or you can't see all of my face/head. If I have time tomorrow I'll see what I can do.

Well, so far a lot of people think I should try growing it out. I'll give it a shot I guess, and hopefully this time I won't give up. I dunno what it is really, I almost always get it cut once I have maybe an inch or two or growth.

However, I do remember last June when I had hair just past my eyes. I went in to get a trim, and the lady absolutly butchered my head. I ended up needing to buzz it down it was so bad, and I really haven't tried growing it out since.

Ok, I've made up my mind for good. I'm not going to cut my hair from this day forward, with the exception of an occasional trim. But when the time comes I plan on going to the best place in town, because like I said last time I went in for a trim my head got butchered.

I don't plan on giving up this time either!

Long hair's a pain in the arse, it takes ages to dry & gets full of tangles. Not to mention the interminable in-between stage. Mine goes from short to boofy within two months, then takes about another 6-9 months before the weight of the hair stops it sticking straight up.

Short's the way for me.

It can be a pain, what with how long it takes to wash and dry it, but overall, it's better than short hair... For me, anyway. And I like having it "messy". It looks better.

Long hair for everyone. Seriously.

I'm entering military service tomorrow, and because of that I recently cut my hair short. I don't even remember when I last had short hair, and I have to say it's horrible! It looks bad, and even though it's definitely easier to keep clean, it just feels all wrong. When I get out of the army, I'm growing it back to at least shoulder length and I'm never gonna cut it short again.

But maybe that's just me.

I'm actually growing my hair (I've been constantly ripped on for the idea, but I go to a school where the longest hair is not even shoulder length). I'm thinking about a ponytail, or just metal head style (like the guys from Slayer). Either way, I just want it to be long.

Thinking about growing my hair out

Don't think ... it will grow out on its own.

In the meantime, I present to you some hippie lyrics:

I would just like to say that it is my conviction
That longer hair and other flamboyant affectations
Of appearance are nothing more
Than the male's emergence from his drab camoflage
Into the gaudy plumage
Which is the birthright of his sex

There is a peculiar notion that elegant plumage
And fine feathers are not proper for the male
When actually
That is the way things are
In most species

EXACTLY. I want it to be long, past my shoulders, but I just can't seem to even get close. Either I'll cut it off once I get an inch or two, or I'll get it like just past my eyes then I'll cut it.

The longest I've ever had my hair was 5 years ago, when I had it down to my mouth. I've been wanting to grow it back ever since, but I just can't do it.

Hmm...hard to say. While I think long hair on men can look good, it never looks attractive. Of course, you probably have no reason to want to look attractive to me, so I suggest growing it long if that's what you want to do. If you're entirely unsure, I suggest growing it a few inches, shaving off the goatee, and then posting a new pic to compare which looks better. But at least you don't make the mistake of having buzzed hair and no goatee (that usually doesn't look right.)
