Fomenting the collapse of the UN (anti-UNites only)

Okay, we all know that the UN is corrupt/a paper tiger/ whatever. My inquiry to all you fellow anti-UNites is how would we cause it to effectively collapse. Even tho it holds no real power anymore, I still oppose what remains of this predecessor to world government.

My theory: The US withdraws from all UN treaties, as well as funding. And we use an isolationist/non-interventionist foregin policy.

We should make fun of their ugly blue hats. They'll be feeling so down that they'll all quit. Yeah... that'll show em'.

Remind them that they're the UN.

I don't care whether it "collapses" or not. I just want the UN out of the US and the US out of the UN.

The rest should take care of itself.

Honestly? Let business continue as normal and refuse Bolton's nomination. Eventually the thing'll implode on itself without reform.

The UN is higly ineffective and can basically only say don't. The US seems to want to control it so both should stay away from each other. The US should withdraw from the UN and form international relations independently if need be.

The U.S. should demonstrate to the world how much better it is than the U.N. at keeping the peace and promoting health and development in poor nations. Then the U.N. will be seen as redundant.

The US marines will kill all the Un ambassators during a special session to discuss the American War Crimes in Iraq.

Is that realistic?

That is a question you should ask yourself upon coming up with any "theories" that you want to implement. Ideology alone is not reason enough to justify action. Is it realistic?

Simple. If a country is unhappy with how the UN is run then they can leave. There's no reason to get rid of the UN if it's truely ineffective at imposing its policies. The best part is that, if we assume that the UN is powerless, any international cooperation and treaties that have made through the UN and supposedly enforced by the UN could have also been made without the UN. Things would continue as they always have minus the funding to a corrupted bureaucracy.

The question is: is the last sentence an accurate assessment of reality and is that good or bad?

The US can't form an isolationist policy, as the world is too globalized, but it can define foreign policy on its own terms. It should simply forge alliances on its own, and we can have a world where issues are settled with real economic and military power, not worthless bureacratic ramblings. Because, honestly, France shouldn't be, and wouldn't be, significant without its veto power. The UN simply allows those without any power to constrain those with it.

I believe the US needs to dictate policy to the UN, not leave the UN. The US takes most of the risks, we should get the most say in those risks

I think we just get rid of the top ten floors. Oh wait, they'd never notice. Better make it the top 20 floors.

The U.N doesn't need to collapse, it just needs to be controlled 100% by the U.S.. That should solve alot the problems.
