For those of you who have seen "Traffic", "Blow", and "Requiem for a Dream", and "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", I want to know which one you think is the best movie with drug use/abuse as the main theme.

I enjoyed Requiem, but I hated "Fear and Loathing"

I respect the sheer genius of Fear and Loathing, but as far as movies that reached me, Requiem was the winner. It was pretty weird to see Marlon Wayans playing such a serious role for a change.

Trainspotting, because I'm in it. If you look at the widescreen version, when Renton gets hit by a car on Calton Road, there's a blurry figure in the background for about 3/8ths of a second. That's me, on my way to the back stairs of Waverley Station, thinking, "why's that guy jumping onto the bonnet of that car?" and not realising that there was a camera inside.

IIRC I'm off towards the left-hand side. The Spud-in-the-gutter scene was filmed practically outside my front door, too. But did I get an invite to Cannes? Nooooo.
