I own the red one, because it's the most cheap, but I liked to the bigger ones as well.

How about a PPC 2003 PDA? That's about as multi-function as you can get. Add a couple of 1gb sd cards ($50-$75 ea) and you're golden.

Sure, it's not "small", but it is sure as hell "multi-function" (besides work, I use it to play Doom & Doom II). It's my main MP3/WMA/ripped dvd player (with the appropriate dvd to WMV Pocket Media Player encoder...)
Pretty tough to beat IMO.
