Batman Vs. The I.R.S.
IGN's article on it sucked. I'm sure General could cook up something better.
Batman, or Bruce Wayne, being the wealthy son of a bitch he is, must owe something to the money-grabbing IRS.
How can Batman show up the IRS? Fraud? Lying? Using sneaky lawyers to do all the dirty work?
The IRS has its ways. I say it wins.

Batman's hot, he could just frame Robin and Alfred, then run away to the Caribbean with me and... etc.
Batman would just come by the office, burn it to the ground, and kill all the wrong doers who run out the door. (by wrong doers i mean anyone tries to escape the inferno meant to singe the flesh off his bones.)

Or perhaps the Dark Knight, the bringer of justice might simply, I dunno, pay his taxes as Bruce Wayne?

He probably just calls the bat-accountant, to get him lots of bat-tax write offs and bat-deductions for all his bat-business expenses.

I have to agree with an earlier poster-Batman pays his taxes and on time, too.
I think it's entirely possible, however, that an IRS auditor would be the one who figures out who Batman is. "You wrote off how much in fuel?" "There seems to be a company car not accounted for here somewhere..." (granted, I think he'd be smarted than to try and write off any of his batgear...)
I would say Batman is in real trouble if the IRS finds him. IRS is scary :p

"Quickly Robin, summon the Bat tax attorney, the IRS is siezing the Bat cave to satisfy the Bat Tax liability!"

BatMan would probably petition Congress to get a Bat Tax Cut. And Dubya would be accused of "tax cuts for the rich..."

I always figured Batman would be a big shot in the Republican Party. He is a billionaire industrialist with an enormous mansion who runs around at night beating up petty criminals for kicks. How could he not be a Republican? He should have no problem getting that Bat Tax Cut.
I would imagine that Bruce Wayne would pay all of his taxes fairly and honestly.
Bruce Wayne currently employs Lucius Fox as the president and CEO of Wayne Enterprises. Mr. Fox handles all of the company's ledgers and has to deal with a mysterious "shrinking inventory", valued at nine figures or more, so Batman would not have to actually pay tax for something that was stolen from his own alter-ego's company.
