Well, US Christians are that way <sigh/>

One of the movies I looked at had "Punk sounding music" as a strike against it. I never read anything about Punk rock in the bible. How was I to know it was a sin?

Everything's a sin.

Funny how they only see the violence and never the message. For instance a Clockwork Orange, they only saw rape and violence and never the question in it concerning free will. It is sickening.

Funny how the guy didn't include a 'nasty stuff' list in his revew of The Passion Of The Christ...

This is amusing.
Here's what they say for Dogma -
http://www.capalert.com/capreports/dogmafull.htm
Most of that crap just makes me laugh my ass off.
This is my one and only argument for a total ban on Christianity. Who is with me!
*Grabs pitchfork*
EDIT ohhh and this "Our Director - Child Psychology Support, a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist concurs. For example, "Viewing arrogance against fair authority may lead to your kids defying you in real life." Or "Viewing sex may lead to sex in real life." Likewise and especially with impudence, hate and foul language."
That's my second arguement. In fact, I'm not going to cap the number of arguments. Instead, lets all recognize that like God, the number of arguements against people following God THIS way are infinite and completely incapable of being understood by reasonable people. :D

Here's some of the stuff said about The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring:
This movie is likely another maneuver to capitalize on the new found infatuation of visually oriented youth with bright and dazzling display of the occult, witchcraft and evil. It is another presentation of the "good" using evil to fight evil. And it presents sorcery as both "good" and evil. Violently. Grotesquely. While the story being based on "good" fighting evil using evil is bad enough, it is clear the filmmakers capitalized on extremism. Tolkien certainly described the evil and demonic characters in his novel quite grotesquely but not nearly as hideous and vile as those in this movie. After more than 500 movies I suspect I can say with credibility that any of the imagery of evil you have seen before now does not match the evil in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. And there are two more Lord of the Rings coming.
*snip*
Such a comparison follows since both movies present wizards, sorcery and evil magic and both titillate the skyrocketing popularity of mystical occult in movies in the shadow of the attack on Christianity, feeding on it and nurturing it at the same time.
*snip*
I am not going to try to debate the claims that Tolkien's Rings trilogy parallels shards of the Truth shattered from the Bible. Satan is very good at making the truth into a lie through the most innocent vehicles and by the least obvious methods. Nor am I going to try to debate the involvement of C. S. Lewis in Tolkien's life who placed the Gospel on the level of a myth in 1931 after a dinner with Tolkien:
"Now the story of Christ is simply a true myth: a myth working on us the same way as the others, but with this tremendous difference that it Really happened: and one must be content to accept it in the same way, remembering that it is God's myth where the others are men's myths..."
I can barely begin to comment on the level of ignorance this reviewer displays. His misnomer that the word "myth" somehow downplays the importance of the Bible that both Lewis and Tolkien held is just the icing on the cake. I shudder to think that there are people out there wearing such blinders to life and reason that they would take this site seriously.

Hate is usually presentes as follows, " I'm don't hate (insert here), but...."
I have never in my life seen a rating systems as stupidly complicated as this. Thumbs up or down does quite nicely. Hell even a one to ten gives you enough freedom of range.

Pro-choice is hate/impudence.
While I don't believe that, per se, it would be a lot better if "pro-choice" didn't generally mean endorsement of abortion and indifference towards adoption.

They even have a symbols section! God I love this page! Funnier than Sinbad? Okay, bad example. ;)
SWASTIKA: This all-too-familiar icon is NOT just representative of Nazi Germany, the Neo-nazi movement nor other ultra-control freaks. It's history is vast. It even appeared on the Boy Scout's Thanks badge before Hitler's regime. In the fourteenth century, it was know as the Fylfot and was said to represent obedience or submission, which fits into Hitler's use of it although unrighteous. It also is representative of sun god worship. Though Hitler had made a covenant with Satan to build the Third Reich

YIN-YANG: This doo-hickey is representative of all opposing forces, most notably between good and evil, male and female, and light and dark. The light portion is male. The dark portion is female. Also the light portion is good and the dark is evil. Soooo, you would expect the occult groups to latch onto this emblem to represent their opposition to God's Truth and especially His Law.
This emblem is used heavily by students and practitioners of the martial arts such as karate and other self-defense disciplines from the far east. It's origin is Chinese. The symbol is also used by some to make a sexual statement of "69" which I will not discuss any further. If you see this symbol, note whether the dark or light is on top. Worn with the dark on top signifying evil over good or Satan over God is a relatively confident signal of its use to represent evil.
Emphasis mine just because they degraded the yin yang.

That is just so amazingly boneheaded. From the bit on the peace symbol, they guy seemed to be condemning not only the symbol, but the idea of it too.
Apparently war is good or something.

I find it interesting that they penalise a movie for showing something against their value system in the interests of realism. If you're opposed to seeing sex scenes, angry dialogue, etc, perhaps you ought to not watch movies. If you make a movie about something unpleasant, there's going to be unpleasant content in the movie, as a realistic representation of events. The only alternative is to film someone telling you a story and glossing over the important bits. Hell, you may as well read a book. (Make sure someone dabs all the juicy text over with liquid paper first, though.)
Ahahahaha! Check out the review for "What Dreams May Come".
Though this was not a particularly violent movie, it was deeply invasive of God's Word and His teachings. Reincarnation, resurrection, and "ghost powers" denied by God were rampant. Lies about Hell and grotesque fantasy such as partially buried talking heads made this movie pure invasion of calm and righteous thought. Hundreds of almost nude bodies, both living and dead, were strewn about. Hundreds of groping semi-nude bodies seethed from a lake to successfully capsize a small boat ferrying the actors from Heaven to Hell, which makes claim that a soul in Heaven can get to Hell. What does that say? The Bible is very specific about those who were cast out of Heaven and sent to Hell -- Satan, the master of Hell, was one who was cast out. Spiritual communication with the dead by the dead and the living, choosing of Hell over Heaven for love, walking on water, and portrayal that Hell is part of Heaven plus a plethora of other slaps in God's "face" made this movie most distasteful to this Investigator. And NOWHERE WAS THERE ANY MENTION OF SALVATION THROUGH THE SAVING GRACE OF JESUS, as if to say that entry into Heaven is possible without Him. The only time Jesus' name was mentioned was in an expression of frustration.
