Dumbest and best short lived trends of NS General

Ive only been here a short while but have already seen some short lived attempts at trends. So, Im wondering, what else did I miss? Were there other things people attempted that were ridiculously dumb and failed quickly? What about things that might have been a good idea but still failed?
Heres my two nominees:
1. The NS union (NS Local 1859922232 or whatever number it was (despite being the only one))
2. NS debate teams

I've noticed a new trend where some guy will post his opinion about something - then all of sudden - random people start chiming in with their opinions which - get this - may or may not agree with that of the original guy - How freakin bizarre!
That, and there seems to be an inordinate amount of discussion about the pros and cons of wanking off.

Sorry -- I was just being a smartass.
But the whole new proliferation of wanking threads -- yeah, I noticed that, too. There seems to be a lot of that and massive mention of this bloke named Christ or something. Frightfully popular topic there.

That wasn't directed at anybody, I was just being a smartass. You should also never apologize for being a smartass. That is a direct corollary from the law: "Love means never having to say you're sorry". Since I love being a smart-ass, it would be wrong to say I'm sorry. Yes, I know this directly contradicts the apology in my sig - but that apology is just an insincere smart-ass apology and not legally binding in any way.

However, for some reason it lasted only a few posts, before disappearing. I wonder why. ;)

The "I'm a (insert ethnic group/religious affiliation/nationality/sexuality here) and PROUD OF IT!" threads were a horrid trend.
Also, anything by illiterate zealots who rudely insult and challange verybody to prove them wrong, then when its done quite simply, they either never show up again, or resort to recitations of their holy text of choice. Proving nothing, but handily side-stepping any admittance to being wrong.
