Well, not really, but it is annoying.

When people deceide to play the victim (Neo Cannen has done this a couple times) and state that their religion/political standpoint/gender/race/whatever is being horribly attacked the the evil others on the board. In this post where the author is off about how s/he's a victim of our brutal verbal assaults, they proceed to hurl either verbal assaults at the others they perceive to be attacking them or state their intellectual superiority or otherwise correctness.

A far better way of defending your faith/belief is (shock horror) by actually defending your faith/belief through mature, reasonable arguments.

I'm a born-again Christian. I'm not a victim.

What can you do? Martyrdom does seem to appeal to a certain type, and I doubt if that will ever change.

I, for one, would like to welcome our new Zombie Overlords. :)

Anywhoo, I've never understood the concept of "born again". Once was enough, thank you very much.

His spelling sucks too. :mad:He was ranting on and on about how victimized "Chrisitans" are. In post 315-odd I had to tell him, "If you're going to defend Christianity, at least learn how to spell its name!"

I guess some people don't want to learn. Or is it that you don't want to learn from an atheist, Neo Cannen?

Well, the thing I've always wondered is this:

We have two guys in the Bible who came back from the dead. Lazarus, and Jesus. And in both cases, everyone (well, almost everyone) was glad to see them.

You realize that these are the only guys to come back from the dead who didn't get the reaction you usually see in a zombie movie.

So are you trying to say that I made your head explode? You just can't stop making me the victim of you're playing the victim of my playing the victim of other people playing the victim, can you.

It has to do with the fact that, in those cases, there was substatially less brain eating involved.

Let me put it another way. Your grand-uncle Bob passes away, and is buried. Three days after the funeral, he shows up at the door.

What's your reaction going to be?

"Hey Bob! Come on in! You look like you got some dirt on you there!"

He also admitted that he hadn't read the entire bible in a thread where he disparaged homosexuals because the bible said so.

You're not the only one to play the victim while insulting others. Your thread was just the only one on the front page at the time, hence the mention.
