Yeah, "world tours" tend to be world tours.

I don't normally hear "World Tours" of people areound here. I must just be out of everything. I listen to a good bit of European bands though, so I guess I am really out of the American music news.

Garbage is really good. I am not sure where they are from though.

There are quite a few American artists and bands that make their big break in Europe, which is an easier market to crack musically, before coming back to the States and making a name for themselves.

Yeah, pretty much all semi-successful to successful American bands tour in Europe and Japan. Some go further afield.

Do pop stars even hold concerts? I thought they went into a recording studio once every two or three years, learned a bit of sheet music provided by their record company, belted out a few songs, and then went home to rest on their laurels (that, or create a trendy and ultimately short-lived fashion line). I've seen footage of them performing in concerts and I've seen dates for concerts they're supposedly holding or have held, but I've never met anyone that's been to one of their concerts. Maybe I just don't ask around enough.

It was just that they couldn't go on international tours because they wouldn't be as successful.(sp?) I figured that most just stayed home and blasted their ignorance here.
I am not talking about rock bands. In fact, I like most of them over here. What I am talking about is the pop artists who think they rule the world.
