US Mother's Day ... the UK had theirs already. :)
Anyway, I got my wife a gorgeous white gold Mother's Ring and we're taking her mother, my mother, and her mother's mother out to lunch tomorrow.

I bought my mom a new microwave. Our old one was a 80's crap factory that can't heat up anything. On top of that, we're all going to Three Amigos for dinner! :D
Im not doing crap, except maybe asking her for some money to go to the movies.

Only 21 hours for me... and I'm building her a huge (and well-designed, I might add) ecommerce store for her hobby/business. :)

Making dinner.
sea bass over a pan fried risotto cake and zucchini, the fish crusted in sesame and a sesame-butter-cucumber sauce over it all.
It really is fantastic.

I'm a 3 day drive away from where my mom has moved to, so I can't cook brunch for her and the treat her to home-made icream in the evening...the usual things I used to do.
Shes been saying for a while now that she'd like a newer picture of me. So I painted a small self-portrait with oil paints and sent it off to Winipeg and my dad drove down to pick it up on friday. He's arranged to have the maitre'd of the restaurant where he's made a brunch reservation to place the gift wrapped parcel on my mom's place at the table BEFORE either of them get there.
She thinks all she's getting from me is a phone call...hehehehe. On any other occasion, a self-portrait would be a tacky gift, but it's Mothers Day, so it's all good.
