Now that the new movie "Kingdom of Heaven" is out, many have become interested in the crusades, which is a good thing. There seems to be a lie going around that the crusades were evil, and I'd like to help clear it up. You can ask me questions, or I can direct you to a good, real history of the crusades at-

Coming from a Christian website, I'm sure it's entirely accurate and in no way shows bias towards the christian side of the crusades. Ironically the article is dated April 1st...

Shit. Sorry to the rest of the forum. I forgot about feeding trolls

I collect Crusader coinage. Money with a bloody history, but I don't mind.

I think its rather ironic that the Muslims were better behaved during most of the Crusades than the Christians, or do you not know what they did when they captured Jerusalem for the first time?
Or do you advocate the mass killing of fairly innocent Jews and Muslims?

So, how would you defend the 4th crusade? All they did was go to Vinice, partied, then sacked the place when presented with the bill. They didn't even make it to the holy land.

Figures, the few times Belgians kicked ass AND acctually achieved something, it was for a bad cause.

The crusades in practice had little to do with believe in god.

There is a difference between "lie" and "more than one side to a story".

Claiming to have a monopoly on the truth is pretty much trolling, Commando3. Not that anyone has ever accused you of that before.
