Yes, our gay students should not be taught about sex. After all, they are evil, evil beings.

Oh man, and the reason he gave for denying them the right to teach it is just classic. Apparently you arent allowed to favour religions that dont hate homosexuality.

At least it's a temporary injunction pending the lawsuit. It's a case of better to be safe than sorry. I have full faith the the justice system will find for the school system.

Yes, gays are sinners and shouldn't be accepted in society because I think that Homosexuality is wrong! [/Sarcasm]

Here's an idea. How about when the teachers start talking about evoloution or homosexuality the religious kids can leave the classroom and go to a pre-designated praying room and say prayers until the lecture is over. When the teacher starts talking about religion then the non-religious and alternate religious kids can leave the room and go to another class and learn until that lecture is over.

That's why I like Canada so much. So naive, so trusting! I doubt our judicial system could find its balls with a pair of tweezers, a magnifying glass, and a map.

They did that in our school, except it wasn't homosexuals, it was a couple of girls who had become Mormons and had an adverse reaction to being slandered in the classroom. Eventually, after a three month all out war with the principle and the religion teachers, they were allowed into supervised study in the library

Hell I went to Catholic HS we didn't even have sex-ed. It should be taught in all schools.

And Krakozha, what country are you from that your government isn't moronic. Hell all governments do stupid things.

Has anyome informed the US Government that homosexuality is just as much a part of sexuality and life as procreation? And just as natural? Maybe someone should...

*screams in the general direction of that link*

I personally blame the school ban to teach Homosexual Sex here in the UK for the reason I spent most of puberty thinking there was something wrong with me, before then I thought of Jan and Jo (My baby-sitters, and a lesbian couple) as my idols, because they were fun and made me laugh, I knew they were "together in the same way my mummy and daddy were". Then I got taught sex-ed. And wondered if there was something wrong with liking the same gender because "sex is penis in vagina".

Took me 4 frigging years to shake that idea back off. And this is just the UK, we're one of the "better" countries. I can't understand how the bloody hell the US works sometimes, half of them seem to want to ban homosexuality altogether. :headbang:

We love you too. :fluffle:

I find that trial by jury can't find it's balls. If a judge is left to his own device, he usually make a fair argument. Once you add 12 people dumb enough to get drawn into jury duty, all hell breaks loose.

I don't get it. What's with all this crap about Sex Ed not being taught in Catholic School? I went to Catholic School in both Elementary and High School and was taught about Sex in both. Sex Ed started in 5th Grade for me. I can still all the 'Ooh's' from our immaturity. And then in HS we were taught about Sex from 9th to 11th Grade. By 12th we already knew all about and couldn't fit any class regarding it anyway since by the next year 90% of us would be in College.

Religion class in our final two years in second level education involved sex education - relationships, abortion, homosexuality, contraception, sexual health. I thank God that our school was open and honest about sexuality, saved so much hassle.

I know lots of gay people, never had a problem with any of them. Did make me stop talking when I commented on some cute guy once and my friend - male and gay - agreed. I didn't know he was gay at the time, only found out then...

People need to educated, not have information withheld. Like was said, the last thing we want is gay people not realising what their bodies are telling them and making uninformed decisions which ae them feel depressed and unfulfilled. Teach everybody everything and let them decide what's right for them.

Seriously though, I'm not old enough to get a driver's license. My family doesn't have a car, not one that will survive a trip up north anyway. And, I'd miss the ice cream store around the corner from my house.

I think the US Government's prejudice against gays is really absurd. Why do they find homosexuality immoral? It would be like declaring influenza immoral. I don't intend to offend any homosexuals by comparing their sexuality to a disease, but you can't immoralize something that can't be controlled.

HOW DUMB CAN YOU GET?!?! Banning disscussion about Homosexuality? Favoring religions that tolerate homosexuality? By banning disscussion about it, aren't you just favoring religions that DON'T tolerate it?

Well if I read it right they're allowing churches to dictate government policy because enacting a policy that some church disagrees with means that you are unfairly giving preference to churches that have no problem with it. This means that the state must do whatever the church wants in order to maintain seperation of chruch and state. I'd say that enacting policy that's the opposite of what it's based on is pretty much the downward limit on governmental stupidity. You literally can't be more wrong. Even if you tried you'd accidentally come closer to the original intent.

I think I'm going to sue on behalf of the Church of Stop Shopping to get schools to stop teaching economics because it unfairly gives preference to pro-consumerist and materialistic churches like the Southern Baptists over more spiritual ones like Bhuddism and Taoism.

Its this sort of thing, including that story about the FDA not accepting sperm donations from homosexuals, that gives the rest of the world the (wrong in most cases) impression of being a joke.

you guys really need to sort your country out.... :(
