Why are the "Terrorist attacks" on the Embassy in New York getting so much attention? IF it was a terrorist attack, it was a pretty pathetic one that does not rate as nationally newsworthy on its merits. Some Hooligan put two black powder grenades in some planters. It cracked some concrete and broke a window. He would have to be a total idiot to think that it could possibly do much damage.
There is an interesting fiction short story where all news outlets in the whole world agree to report terrorist activity specifically to make all terrorists look like pathetic ameteurs, bumbling fools, and loners who hadn't gotten dates in years, if ever. Its idea was if terrorists lost their dignity (personal and professional), their notoriety and infamy, their very ability to cause terror, their networks and numbers would dissapear.
I will start now. I suggest that we start profiling people who have blown off their hands with firecrackers.
