Let's look at the choices for the UK's general election:

Labour:
"Hey, we did OK last time, why not vote for us again?"

Conservatives:
"Labour's bad. And since we're not Labour, we must be good! Don't forget Tony Blair took us to Iraq! I would have too, but that's not the point. And what about immigration? That's bad right? I mean, nobody actually seems to care about it, but we're gonna focus on it anyway! Oh, and we'll cut taxes. But we won't cut funding to anything."

Liberal Democrats
"We're the Real Alternative. Because all the other alternatives are imaginary. Good slogan, eh? We paid a ten year old fifty pence for it."

I had the choices of Lib Dem, Tory, Labour or UKIP. Why can't the greens or the MRLP come up north?

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

No offence to the people of Britain whatsoever, but you people have put on what has to have been one of the most sedate and dull elections I've seen in my very short life. I don't know if it's because in your country, the elections revolve around actual substance over style. Stop me if I'm wrong.

I'm probably going to have my computer on the BBC all day anyway, but I'm just curious: when do poll returns and projections usually start rolling in?

No, it's just a really boring election.

Actually, there was a news item on TV about how the current election is really boring and people aren't interested. I can't remember exactly what they said.

It would help if any of the leaders or their parties were actually appealling in some way.

That is exactly what they are trying to do - provide appealing alternatives. It's just that...well..politics is boring.

Don't call Sir Humphrey an unwashed Barbarian *not British* ever again.
That is the most British person ever to grace the television... even though that was just the character he acted.

That was funny. I still say he's not anymore British than I am. Now, admittedly, he's much funnier. It actually hurts to admit that. Hurts bad.
