As some of you are probably already aware, today is the Feast of the Ascension. This is the day on which we in the Roman Catholic Church believe Jesus gave his farewell to the Apostles and rose into heaven. This is one of the ten Holy Days of Obligation and is a festival day. In the spirit of love and unity, I extend to all, regardless of religious affiliation, a joyful greeting on this day and I hope you have a glorious Feast of the Ascension.

That's the first time I've ever seen 'Roman Catholic Church' and 'spirit of love and unity' in the same post ^_~

What? No Fire and Brimstone? are you sure it's a Catholic day?

In all fairness I was raised Catholic, and we didn't hear about Fire and Brimstone at my church. Catholic school did install a healthy sense of guilt and fear of sin though.
