A N-Gage! Wait, no I meant that money might be better invested in Enron stock.

Well, this is what I use:
Treo 600 smartphone (http://www.palmone.com/us/products/smartphones/treo600/?kp=a&referer=web.palmone.com/products/communicators/treo600_overview.jhtml)
PCS Phone palmOne Treo 600 (Sprint) (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000SX2U2/103-0345811-1703011?v=glance)
Completely awesome.
Basically combines a Palm organizer and a cell phone. Wireless email and text messaging, web browsing, games, and even a digital camera. Small enough to fit in your pocket. With a QWERTY keyboard that has a special program that correctly identifies what keys you meant to press, even though your fingers actually press several keys.
But, that may well be more than what you want.
It depends on what you are going to use it for (or features you want) and how much you are willing to pay.

I'm fond of my Sony Ericsson z500. Lots of fun accessories, digicam, mp3 player, 30 second video, and under $200 w/ rebate.

cell phones are evil. I doubt I will ever own one. Of course, I'm biased, I hate all phones, but cell phones especially.
The only good phone is one of those cool rotary-dial models, and only if unplugged.

I've owned 4 or 5 cell phones over the last several years, and in my experience, the reception on the expensive ones is bad. The cheap ones generally have good reception. Buy a Palm seperately if you want functionality.

In England we call them 'Mobile phones'. Isn't culture interesting!
I use a Sagem Myx-7.

Never had any issue with reception. Mine seems better than that of many others with other phones.
And having one small device with multi-functionality has significant advantages over carrying two or more seperate devices all the time.

i use a nokia 3330 really old but very very effective
easy to use text and call
but limited memory space
i actually prefer it than my old sony ericson t630 which went through the wash :p
definetly go for a nokia and find something durable cause all those new ones when the fall are broken or damaged in someway but my nokia 3330 is like a rock.

I own a T630 too and I like it. Although I'd prefer a k700i which is only a little more expensive but has many more features.

Nokia 3310. The batteries have run out and I've lost the charger. I think it's broken, too. The case is black, and chipped at the edges.

Or to call a 'tomarrto' a 'tomayto'...

I especially hate people who drive while talking on cell-phones. :sniper:

We call them mobiles here in Australia.
I have an LG TD6000, which is a CDMA phone. I'll get (slightly) better reception on the roadtrips which me and my mates take regularly.
