I know it's been done a bizillion times before, many of them by me, but I'm bored and people still seem to like this topic, so... here ya go.

Poll to come. NOTE: The metaphors in options 1 and 7 are meant to be humorous and illustrate high certainty. Please do not take them literally.

Being a little gay doesnt seem logical to me... its like being a little dead...

Yeah... I mean, doesn't that make you bi?

Yeah... I mean, doesn't that make you bi?

I would think so.

Well, there's gay and straight. Then there's varying levels of bi, which I just put into three categories. And lines 2 and 6 are for people like me who are one thing, but kinda want to be another, and we can't tell if it's because we are slightly that other thing or if it's all wishful thinking for some other reason.

Happily married, committed to one woman for the rest of my life.

I prefer men. I totally lust after men. I consider myself straight and women just don't get the juices flowing, if ya know what I mean. But in spite of this I had a long-term affair with another woman and was probably more in love with her than I have ever been with any man.
I guess love and sexuality are more malleable than most people care to think.

I can't imagine ever being in a relationship with another man, but I better be able to picture a relationship with a woman because I am in one.

There is such a thing as a little gay. People are at different levels of orientation, and it's best to picture the scale as a line, and find your dot.

What about those who have no interest in sex whatsoever? I think it was termed 'asexual' or something like that....

Oh right, forgot about them... Well this is just the gay/straight scale.

I think I detect a bit of aphobia here.

Exactly! We're 1% of the population, you know. (Gays are about 2-3)

"dead" and "alive" are distinct and completely exclusive. All the things that constitute dead are not seen at all in someone alive, and vice versa.

Sexuality is something more of a gradient. Almost noone is 100% hetero or homo sexual. Everyone falls into some grey scale between the two extremes

I'd like to add.. that a Euclidean line in a non-Euclidean manifold doesn't make the line straight in the Euclidean sense :P

It all depends on what orientation you are refering to. It is possible for someone to have a homosexual sexual orientation, yet have a 'heterosexual' affectional orientation. That meaning, they are attracted and only turned on by men (if the person is male), yet can only feel emotionally close to women.
