I really have to thank all of you. Over the year that i've been in nationstates, i've learned things such as common sense, sarcasm, politics, civil rights, history, how to start a dangerous flame war that ends up in a huge fight, and the fact that god will be a neverending flame war... But honestly this site is freaking awsome, its educational and teaches you alot..

So then why the heck would it be blocked by the common school parental controls? It pissed me off cause I was trying to get on, and its X-stoped(stupid parental control thing). And since theres teachers here in nationstates, I would like to know why the heck would anybody think this as a gaming site?

Well you dont really play games on it, just a make your own country thing, which isint really bad. Not to forget that the forums are preety interesting, If I was a teacher I would recomend my students to this website, not block it

That depends on the age of said students. I wouldn't let people under 15-16 here, especially not in General.

Its because you can chat to other people. My school wont let me get on a website where you can interact with other people.

Our Librarian last year was of the sort who said:
"School computers are for school work and ONLY school work, no exceptions under any circumstances."
And proceded to add every site she could think of to the schools ban list.
She also decided that sites with more than two occurences of the word 'gun' were bad by nature, this made it rather hard to study WWI.

Its really retarded considering you can actually PRINT something containing Satanism, or brutal killings. Not to forget that in my school their are WITCHCRAFT books teaching you how to actually do withcraft... Its so hilarious considering they tried to block Harry Potter

Yes, but using the word gay as meaning stupid is pretty offensive. Not to mention dumb. Gay means homosexual or to be cheerfull, happy, etc. Not "stupid." My gosh, get a dictionary.

It's just a word, goodness. It means tons of things. Y'all take offense too easily to it. I don't mean y'all as in gay people, I mean y'all as in yout two.

Same thing at my school.
For me, the game part is unblocked, but the forums are locked up tight. Games are all right on school time, but not open possibly subversive discussion with others. Completely f'ed up.
