On behalf of citizens of the United States, I'd like to apologize for the folks in California who haven't yet figured out that world doesn't revolve around them. Please be assured that this is an isolated ca... ...uh... a fairly rare instan... ...it doesn't happen all that oft... ...aw, hell.

Something about driving an SUV turned this woman's already perversely wired brain to clam sauce. Suburbia does that to people. I just wish she could be prosecuted -- what genuine emergency could this amazingly patient 911 operator have handled? I take solace from the sterling behavior of the 911 operator, who actually tried to reason with this drive-thru airhead.

In closing, I'd like to hold out the hope that someday, either through Divine intervention or evolution, stupidity will become painful.

First of all, don't feel bad about your fellow citizens - there's always idiots around (somehow they do appear to live predominantly in the States, though).
