I'm bored stiff right now. Luckily, I have military marches and other songs to keep me up. What do you other bored people do to keep yourselves sane?

Well, considering we joined at the same time and you have 4,574 more posts then me I guess I know what you do to alleviate the boredom! :p

Me? I am usually able to keep myself from boredom without really doing anything specific, if I am bored doing what I'm doing then I stop doing it and do something else ;)

Theres always something else to do! Have you tried inventing a new way of automating your daily life by lets say... umm... glueing chopsticks together to form a long pole with enough reach to turn off your bedroom light that's not by the bed? :D

I get fucked up. One of the nice things about weed is it makes boredom tolerable. Nothing really even has to be going on, as long as I'm lit I can deal with it.

Then again its hard to be bored when you have as many games and movies as I do.

When I'm bored I do a semiotic analysis of Rembrandt's "Night Watch" about 1000 words in length with all of my arguements supported by quotes from reliable sources. You'd better get cracking, I expect it on my desk tommorow. ;)

I like to blindfold myself and hang upside down and disassemble weaponry and put it back together before my nose starts to bleed. :)

Play on general. And if nothing entertaining is happening there, either make it entertaining or buzz over to moderation, something interesting is always there. If all else fails I go out side and do something active.

I only ever get bored at work, or while waiting for people.

I have too many activities to do the rest of the time. I just make sure that I have at least three constructive activities I can do entirely on my own, and at least one I can do with my girlfriend. Then whenever I have nothing to do, I pick whichever I feel most like doing, and get on with it.

At work, I browse NS boards during the more boring jobs, and I work on small chunks of code for an online game I'm involved in if I have chunks of time without work to do. Or plan what sort of code I'd want to write if I have to spend time working.

when I'm waiting for people, and don't know how long it'll be, I do get bored. I tend to carry my ipod or a book with me, music often goes a long way to avoiding boredom. I'm also rarely bored when there are people around to chat with.
