According to my belief, I am holy, (the main reason being that I find it funny to concider myself holy, in a weird, insane-laugher inducing way) and therefore I won't. So I guess I'll simply laugh evilly while everyone else ends up in hell.

if you believe in christianity then i would agree. about 95% of people are going to hell because even the christian posers dont have it right, not to mention the outright atheists and pagans. everyone has forgotten Jesus' message. but,i dont believe in the churches lies.

hell is a place that was invented by evil men to scare the masses into dependency on the church. a truly loving and all knowing god would not claim to give you choice and then punish you for all eternity for making the "wrong" choice. that is a human inconsistency, not a divine one. the bible is full of contradictions.

what do i believe? im currently wavering between 2 ideas. cant make up my mind yet:

1. you are part of the divinity of creation and have direct ties to whatever or whomever created all this,so if you develope your mind and learn to screen out all the human bunk, you should be able to get in touch with the source through meditation and projection.

2. even if god does exist, that doesnt mean he cares about us in the way that people want to believe. maybe he was bored and we are just a hobby or a work of art? when you draw a picture or make an ashtray out of clay,do you think of it as one of your children that you need to help grow and evolve or is it just an amusement,a temporary distraction? think about it another way: does a plant or a spider ask, what is our purpose? no,they just live as they should until they die, then they are no more. lifes only purpose is to create more life before dying. its a constant cycle put into play to amuse whoever started it all. we are like pets to a lonely old man who lives alone. our only purpose is to give him purpose. we already have a form of immortality...we reproduce endlessly. its an ongoing mechanism that will keep going until he gets bored and decides to shut it off and rebuild it into something more entertaining, like what happened with the dinosaurs...

since when does god teach good?

Precisely.

The Christian religion is one built on hatred and divisiveness. Even the Christians themselves can't agree on what to believe. Hell, even the Baptists can't all agree on what to believe. Born-again Baptists, foot-washing baptists, free baptists, bound-up baptists, A.M.E. baptists, southern baptists, northern baptists.... and those are just the BAPTISTS!

If you look back into ancient history, it's interesting to note how the world before Christianity came along was for the most part kind of calm and accepting. I mean, sure there were wars, but you didn't have people killing each other in the name of a supposedly benevolent higher entity.

More people have died in "the name of Jesus" than in wars, car accidents, gang violence, and a couple other types of killing that I can't remember just now.

So I encourage everyone to THINK when someone tries to convince you to "give your heart to Jesus". Remember your mother's advice: if all your friends are jumping off the top of the Empire State Building, are you gonna do it, too?

I don't plan on going anywhere, much less hell.

"I don't want to achieve immortality through my works, I want to achieve it by not dying."

I don't who said that first, or even if I quoted it right, but thats pretty much my thinking. My plans for the future hinge on someone discovering the secret of immortality. :p

I find it interesting that noone seems to have any problem smearing Christianity's face into the ground...describing it as a religion "build on hatred and divisiveness," referring to their God and savior as a "bastard" and putting down anyone who tries to stick up for it...

Yet if any other religion is spoken out against its all "You're not being tolerant!!!" or "You don't have respect!!!!" or "You're a f***ing bigot, shut up!!!"

Just a little one-sided.....

@Sunnydalia: Of course there will be division and bitterness in any religion. There will always be different interpretations. Congregationalism is a curse that plagues Christianity today, but it far from affects all churches, and certainly does not affect every one of its members. People aren't perfect. The Bible teaches that quite clearly. I find it hard to see how it was "founded on hatred and diviseiveness."

As for wars and people "killed in the name of Jesus"-its interesting how almost all of this violence that apparenty "followed Christianity" into history is aimed AT Christians.

I have a theory that Satan and God are one in the same. Think about it. God has commited numerous actions that the Ten Commandments would consider to be sins. He has killed, many times. Thus, if the Bible was true, God would be forced to go to Hell, which is impossible since God is supposed to be omnipotent. Since the only "divine" beings that sin are demons and Satan, God must be Satan. So, it doesn't matter what you do in life because there is only one afterlife.

I guesse I'll be partying with Ravenclaws then.

But anyway, death is such a limited perspective. I prefer immortality.

Edmund: Well, well, let's take Hell: You know, Hell isn't as bad as it's
cracked up to be.

Graveney: What?

Edmund: No, no, no, no. No, you see, the thing about Heaven, is
that Heaven is for people who like the sort of things that go
on in Heaven, like, uh, well, singing, talking to God, watering pot
plants...

Graveney: Ew...

Edmund: Whereas Hell, on the other hand, is for people who like the other
sorts of things: adultery, pillage, torture -- those areas.

Graveney: Really?

Edmund: Mm! Give your lands to the Crown, and once you're dead, you'll
have the time of your life!

Graveney: Adultery? Pillage? Through all eternity?

Edmund: Yep!

WELLLLL
lets review.
Ancients didn't kill each other over religion. The Celts, whilst hugely warlike, respected each others druids. The Romans didn't oppress other religions but considered them aspects of their own until they converted to christianity.
The christians have repeatedly invaded the middle east in the name of god and even now bush has "god on his side". We don't do wars in the west without some archbishop saying it's ok god's on our side.
But the muslims invaded spain and southern europe in the name of allah and kill people today 'cos god told them to so they're bastards too.
Maybe it's just those middle eastern religions that are war like. But then if you consider communist idiology as a religion then the Chinese have got a lot of questions to answer.
basically any idiology that attracts a mass audience can also be converted into a holy army to burn the unbeliever.
Me, I'm a Pagan we never hurt anyone....just don't touch my trees or else.

Edit. Oh and heaven/hell is a construct designed to give poor people an insentive to do what they are told. bread today....jam tomorrow./edit

The Physics of Hell: Is Hell endothermic or exothermic?

• First, we assume that existence implies a positive mass,
• Next we postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass.
• If they do, then a mole of souls can also have a mass.

So, at what rate are souls moving into Hell and at what rate are souls leaving?

• By definition, we can safely assume that once a soul gets into Hell, it cannot leave. Therefore no souls are leaving.
• As for souls entering Hell, we must look at the entry criteria of Hell as defined by the different religions that exist in the world today.
• Some of these religions hold that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell.
• Since there are more than one of these exclusive religions, and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and all souls will go to Hell. (Even using the best available specific enumeration, the total would equal infinity minus 144,000...)
• With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.

Now we look at the rate of change in volume in Hell.

• Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant.
• So, if Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
• Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
• If, however, the rates of admittance and expansion are the same, then the volume of Hell will grow exponentially until the whole Universe goes to Hell - undoubtedly in a handbasket.

Hell is full of rapists and serial killers, because hell wants the most barbaric soldiers to overwhelm the Holy masses.

Heaven is made up of militant centurians and monks, because heaven demands discipline and law inorder to conquer it's foes.

Wether it's a crazed angel wielding a spear killing and dieing in the name of God whilst chanting a battlecry of some sort.
Or a lunatic demon casting the bad magicks probably putting his own soul as in much danger as his opponent's.
