Pop Muzik - M (Random Kingdom)
London Calling - The Clash (Aust)
Echoes - Pink Floyd (Swimmingpool)
Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac (Sarzonia)

Heroes - David Bowie (Vittos Ordination)
Freebird - ??? (Tonissia)
Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who (Melkor Unchained)
Feel free to vote, even if you have nominated one. Poll will close in 4 days and the result will be posted on the official awards page. Nominations can continue for others but they won't be voted on until this vote is out of the way.
"None of the above".
Please, don't forget that option.

Freebird is by Lynyrd Skynyrd. If a mod would be nice enough to change it.....
other- war pigs by black sabbath-helped to end all the sappy happy pop rock

I voted for London Calling, but if I'd been given the option I would have voted for either David Bowie - Starman or Sex Pistols - Anarchy in the UK.
London Calling is a bit iffy, since it was released in VERY late 1979. Still, I suppose it just meets the deadline.

ARGH!! i can't choose...you can't make me choose between my two favourite albums...... :headbang:
Pink Floyd or Pink Floyd??
Can i vote twice? Either way PF wins...
*ahem* that is, if they get enough votes...
obviously.......

Now, VOTEVOTEVOTE for wywh....i chose that because i want it (or echoes) to win.......and it had the higher votes of the two PF albums, so that would be the logical option if i want either of them to win...now, if you want them to win too, vote wywh....or echoes...either way vote PF!! If only they were running for government too...i'd be a great campaigner candidate...

No Comfortablty Numb? No Shine On You Crazy Diamond I-V?
I picked Echoes, but the two choices are in no way the best Pink Floyd songs, sorryy.

I'm surprised to see London Calling in the lead: I love the Clash and its a great song [and an even better album]. I won't be heartbroken if it wins of course, but I voted for Won't Get Fooled Again because its a wonderful political commentary. Much better than that goddamn Pink Floyd tune that I hear every time I'm in the car.
I'm WINNING!!!!! *dances*

If its an issue of preference, I can't really tell you who to side with, but Pete Townshend was the superior songwriter/innovator and the Who had a much greater level of aggrigate talent. Don't get me wrong, I love the Clash. But I don't even think London Calling is even the best cut on that album.

Ah yes, but it was first played live in July '79.
*spot the clash nerd*
London's Calling is a definate winner! A true classic!

What he said...
...but then I think Sandinista! is their finest album, so what do I know?
