I am going to a conference in Quebec City and want to know what are the "must-see" places/things. The pictures I have seen are beautiful and I am looking forward to visiting and putting my French to use. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The Old City is a must-see. It's the walled-in section of Quebec, it's awesome

Never been there, but I've heard that the food is terrific. If you like that tasty, French, sort of stuff, that is.

I've stayed at the le Chateau Frontenac a few times. The rooms are good, though a little small. Sunday brunch there is excellent, definitely check it out - though make reservations. Also, the main restaurant, Le Champlain, is well worth a visit, though you may find the food a little "french" traditional (I had excellent wild boar though). Le Champlain also has a great wine list if you like french wines. You will need reservations however, and jacket and tie is required.

Outside of that, the old city is a lot of fun to walk around, and there are a a few good pubs.

Le means "The" so if you go to Quebec call it either Le Chateau Frontenac or The Chateau Frontenac. If you call it "the Le Chateau Frontenac" they might suspect you're American and spit in your food.

Go see the break-neck stairs, also the sex shops too. I have been there twice, nice city. Impossible to get lost in the old city, so you should have a great time walking around.
