I lost a tiny screw. I tried looking for it by feeling around, but found nothing. Then I tried shining a little weak laser over the floor, but I still didn't find it.

Any ideas?

Magnet might work. Also, shake out your clothes, it might have fallen in there. Get down on the floor and lay your face on it sideways and look around? Did you hear where it dropped to?

If it is really small, it might not be in the place you think you dropped it as it go bouncing off other local objects into some other place.

Ah, damn carpets. If if was tiles, you could use a dustpan to pickup any items on the tiles. Carpets are really good at hiding things. Try the magnet (unless your screw is not ferrous).

Clear out the vacuum cleaner then vacuum the room.

You could use a brush or comb to check the carpet.

If you have a tablelamp with a long enough lead, you could use it like a torch. I'm not sure how effective lasers are for finding stuff.

We just have this big ass industrial vacuum here.... It'll be an hour before I have that cleaned out. :(

If you can't get a magnet, see if you have an old 3.5" floppy drive about.
They have a nice big magnet in them, but then I collect junk.

Well, lets just say I never knew how much hair I had on my carpet...... It does just cover a little area, but stuff gets lighted up good if it finds something

My cell phone. I wanted to clean it, because I broke it last weekend and I was checking if cleaning it would help....... But it doesn't so I think I'll have to get a new one. With a new screw too. :rolleyes:

Well I was gonna suggest getting some tights and stretching them over the end of the vacum cleaner so that everything that gets sucked up gets caught.
