:mp5: I think everyone has one. Is there anyone who doesn't think before they act or analyze what they're going to say? Is there anyone who doesn't constantly think while there in the middle of some action? I hardly ever talk but I'm always thinking. I like my strong inner monologue. It makes my life so much more interestint for me.

Yeah right  You can have both and not be insane. If you don't ever think, then you don't have inner monologues, if you do...then how can you avoid having inner monologues. Anyone who takes the time to observe the world around them and contemplate before having an outer monologue, has an inner monologue.

He holds that Concious thought is not an inner monologue, but that the monologue is unconcous rambeling that ravages your mind...i'm kinda confused on what he believes anyway...

so he thinks that an inner monologue is an inner dialogue as in those schitzophrenics who have voices telling them what to do?

not necessarly that different, but a second layer of thought, unconcously rambeling on under his concous speech and stuff. this is why he says he says random things sometime, they just pop into his head...
