Has anyone read this book by Jonathan Kellerman? I'm reading it at the moment, really good book. It turns out that this is actually based on a real doctor, Jack Kavorkian or some-such name, in America who is also nicknamed Doctor Death.
Seeing as this guy helped (and is helping) kill people with terminal illnesses, lets turn this into a debate on Euthanasia. Are you for or against Euthunasia, and what do you think of this "doctor" work?

I haven't read the book, but, yes, Dr. Kevorkian is famous here.
I support euthanasia, and therefore believe Dr. Kevorkian shouldn't be in jail.

Euthanasia sort of goes against what doctors stand for. You know that rule "Do no harm". The thing about Jack is that he assisted in someones death who was not terminally ill. He deserves to be in jail.

I've also heard that he's been accused of organ harvesting, i.e, collecting the organs from the people he's killed and selling them on the black market. Any basis to this?

i support euthanasia as well, for very personal reasons. I watched my father draw his last breath from a long battle with cancer. The disease having reached his brain, he could not communicate near the end, but because he had made his wishes known to us, we knew what to do.

I can just imagine what it must be like for people with degenerative diseases who know the road ahead is paved in pain and suffering...

There is no way I would choose to live llike that.

terminally ill vs. quality of life
we should all be able to choose how we live our lives
